Climate Action Bury: Making Progress
This will be our third meet-up, and one where we begin to make tangible progress towards our first goal of creating a Climate Action Plan for Bury, and taking it to the council so it can deliver on it’s promise of tackling climate breakdown.
Our newly formed sub-groups will feedback on the actions they’ve been researching and developing from the action plan template, and everyone will have an opportunity to give their input.
There are six mini-teams: Action & Networking, Buildings, Transport, Power, Waste and Land-use.
If you’d like to get involved in any of these teams, please send us an email and we’ll put you in touch with the relevant coordinator. All are welcome and feel free to join as many as you like!
Also, from now on, every monthly meet-up will featuring a ‘lightening talk’ related to one of the main climate themes. In this one, Pete Fillery will give quick talk about Incredible Edible, including what’s happening across the six towns and how to get involved.
