Climate Conversations (Levenshulme)

Climate Conversations is our Peer Support group for anyone concerned about the climate crisis.

A peer support group is simply a group of people who have something in common who get together to share experiences and support each other. In our case we’re all concerned about the climate crisis (and the related ecological and social crises) and want to do something about it – even if we don’t know what that is yet.

The climate crisis can feel overwhelming. It’s hard to know what to do or where to focus our energy. It can be difficult to reconcile what we know to be happening with the lack of action we see from our politicians and institutions. Strong emotions including grief, fear, anxiety, and anger can be exhausting.

In our group we support each other as we try to come to terms with what’s happening to our world and figure out how we want to respond personally. This includes talking about our feelings, the actions we can take in our everyday lives and finding ways to cope including rest and self-care. We aim to provide a space where we can share our concerns, feel understood, and start to reflect on what we might be able to do to adjust and cope in our own everyday lives.

Free to attend. No need to book.
