Community Coalition Taster Session (In Our Nature)
What is the Community Coalition? In Our Nature’s Community Coalition is a collaborative group of Manchester residents working together to take climate action, reduce carbon emissions and create positive change for our communities.
About this event. During this two-hour online session, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the current Community Coalition members, chat to like-minded people, find out more about the In Our Nature programme and discover how you can have your say in making Manchester a cleaner, greener and more connected city.
The session will also include an interactive workshop, giving you a flavour of what to expect as part of your role in the Community Coalition.
Who is this taster session for?
This session and the Community Coalition is for Manchester residents who want to be part of an alliance to inspire, engage and inform climate action in Manchester. It’s for people who care about the future of our city and want to support our communities, whether you’re already a keen activist or you’re looking for new ways to share your voice and create meaningful change. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and aim to create an inclusive coalition that represents Manchester’s diverse population and communities.
Note: The minimum expectation for becoming a member of the In Our Nature Community Coalition is that members can attend and contribute to one group meeting every three months. These are typically held on weekday evenings. Members must also be 18 or over.

About In Our Nature
In Our Nature is a city-wide environmental campaign putting the needs of Manchester’s communities at the heart of climate action.
Between now and 2025 we’ll be working with people across the city to connect the climate crisis to practical actions we can all take to make a difference, reduce our carbon emissions, save money, and learn something new too!
In Our Nature is a programme in partnership between Manchester Climate Change Agency, Hubbub, Groundwork Greater Manchester, Amity, the Tyndall Centre for Climate Research and Manchester City Council, funded by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund.
