Doing Tech for Good: How can we build an active movement in Manchester? (hosted by Tech for Good Live)

For over three years, our small team in Manchester has run monthly events on all things Tech for Good. We’ve hosted a long list of excellent speakers. Covered many hot topics. Drank beer and eaten lots of pizza.
We’re pleased to have picked up over 3,000 Meetup followers on the way and are particularly proud that local charities have started to see value in what we do.

But as great as all this is; the world is burning, people hate each other, public services are crumbling and there’s stuff we need to be getting on with.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could activate our 3,000-strong following to build an unstoppable force that saw tech supporting some of the amazing stuff happening in Manchester? Wouldn’t it be great if we were to mobilise the time and talents of charities, citizens and tech people alike to co-design extra special solutions to our greatest problems?

Answer us this: if the Tech for Good Live community were to help you do good, what would that look like?

Drum roll please!

We are excited to invite you to an extraordinary event in January to help us create the future of the Tech for Good Live community. Whether you have ideas about how we can help your local project, or simply want to know more about how you can get involved, we’ll be ready and waiting to welcome you with post-its and pizza.
