Future Economies is an inter-disciplinary research centre focused on addressing the economic challenges facing policy-makers, business and society.

This event will officially launch the centre, bringing together academic experts and senior practitioners to showcase and discuss our work, focusing specifically on local economic development, including the challenge of environmental change and building a sustainable industrial strategy.

Local Economic Futures
The panel discusses the challenges facing local economic development, presently and into the future. Participants come from a range of perspectives as they grapple with what are deeply difficult problems during a time of great uncertainty.
