Greater Manchester Green Summit: Fracking Fringe Meeting

On 21st March the Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham, will host a summit with a view to making Manchester one of the greenest cities in Europe.

However, four years ago Greater Manchester looked set for a different accolade as fracking company IGas explored for shale gas at Barton Moss, Salford. But they left and haven’t come back, and neither has fracking happened since in Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire or anywhere else.

To hear this inspirational story, and about why 2018 is a year that will either make, or more likely break, the fracking industry, please come to our meeting.

We will have speakers from Frack Free Lancashire, and other groups from across the region.
