HAUGHTON DALE (Ride Social)

Leave Debdale park for the Fallowfield loop as far as Highfield.
Heading now for Reddish Vale a short pause before climbing.out of the vale making our way to Haughton Dale.The wide gravel trail skirts the river Tame throughout the Dale.

Crossing a bridge we climb out of Dale to meet the Peak Forest canal. Which we follow to Gee Cross and the T.P.T. A pleasent flat trail to Godley.Where we leave to use tarmac minor roads.
Stopping at Hyde park cafe for a well deserved lunch break..Fuelled up we continue to the trails of Jet Amber fields.Again tracing the way of the river Tame as far as Audenshaw.A short jump here to pickup the Peak Forest canal passing thr Portland Basin for Manchester.Tow path ride then divert to join the Loop again at Fairfield and a short hop to return.

This is closed to members of Velo 1750 group only. The ride takes us through wooded areas along waterways.

Predominately trails

First pause at Reddish Vale where toilets and refreshments are available. Lunch stop at cafe in the park.

Require helmet, spare inner tubes, puncture repair kit and associated tools.Optional drinks bottle and waterproof jacket.
