Knock Down the House Screening in Sale (hosted by Wythenshawe & Sale East Constituency Labour Party)
Priory branch Labour Party are proud to present a screening of “Knock Down The House” an inspiring documentary about four females taking on the system.
A young bartender in the Bronx, a coal miner’s daughter in West Virginia, a grieving mother in Nevada, and a registered nurse in Missouri build a movement of insurgent candidates to challenge powerful incumbents in Congress. One of their races became the most shocking political upset in recent American history.
🎞You can watch the trailer.
Only 32% of our MP’s are women, we need to change this. Following the film, please feel free to stick around as we will have an informal workshop to come up with ideas for how we can help more women get into politics.
Please note you do not need to be a Labour member to attend this event. This event is free but you do need a ticket. On the night we will be taking ‘pay what you feel’ donations to cover room hire and fundraise for our local Labour party, so we can do more events like this in future.
There will be a bar with soft and alcoholic drinks available to buy. The venue is accessible to people using wheelchairs.
