Learn to ride [Oldham]

If it’s been a while since you’ve ridden a bike, or maybe you’ve never had the chance to try, Learn to Ride is the course for you. Learn to Ride courses are led by qualified instructors who look to teach the very basics of cycling, offering support and guidance at your pace.

The course takes place in a safe, off-road environment and lasts around two hours, giving you plenty of time to hone your skills… if not, you can always come back as many times as it takes!

Over two hours you’ll learn:

  • Things you should check before each ride
  • Getting on your bike, balancing and getting off again
  • Starting and stopping
  • Steering your bike and stopping quickly if you need to

Bikes and helmets will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Please note that these courses are only open to those 12 years and above

Places are limited so please book online.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is listed in our cycling events calendar for Greater Manchester. It is not organised by Manchester Friends of the Earth nor the Love Your Bike campaign and does not necessarily reflect their policies. We recommend checking with the organisers in case of a change of time or location.
