Making Day: Sat 15th Feb [We are the Dead Canaries] (hosted by The Arts Group – Extinction Rebellion Manchester)

XR Durham and XR North East invite rebels from across the UK to join in the mass actions to shut down the Bradley Opencast Mine at the end of February.
So… Let’s get creative!

On SATURDAY 15th FEBRUARY, please join us in making banners clearly demonstrating that COAL MUST GO. We will stand in solidarity with Pont Valley residents who expressed their misery of thick black and orange dust permeating their houses and their lungs, of loud explosions and constant noise from the massive mining machines.

Venue: The Hive, first floor of Manchester University’s Student Union. The space is open and accessible.

Colours: YELLOW AND BLACK
Materials: Large fabric, paint, paint pallets, brushes, tape measures, pencils, scissors (please bring what you can, and be prepared to take it away also).

For more information about the action itself, see the Facebook event page

Hope to see you there 🙂
