Manchester Airport Orbital (Guided Ride)

Come along and Join us on a HSBC Guided Ride taking in the Sights, Sounds and Scenery of Manchester Airport and its footprint. As a guided ride all you have to do is have time, and get yourself and your bike to the start. Let your British Cycling Ride leaders do the rest.
Starting and finishing at Wythenshawe Forum, we ride mostly on cycle lanes and tracks around the Airport perimeter, taking stops at the runway fencing, and again at the Aviation viewing park.

At the viewing park, free entry on two wheels is provided, giving opportunity for a good old nosey around some exhibits, coffee shop, and some time to see the aircraft up close and personal.

The ride is mostly traffic free, along a mixture of terrains, therefore I would recommend ages 8+ and those a little more comfortable with terrain and distance. As with all rides, helmets are recommended for adults, and compulsory for under 16’s. Under 16’s must also be accompanied by an adult to fulfil our requirements.

This ride with stops will take about 2.5 hours realistically.

This route is has been running for a long time and receives great feedback…therefore, lets go again!

Tell friends, family, strangers and lets make this an enjoyable ride!

Places are limited so please book online

PLEASE NOTE: This event is listed in our cycling events calendar for Greater Manchester. It is not organised by Manchester Friends of the Earth nor the Love Your Bike campaign and does not necessarily reflect their policies. We recommend checking with the organisers in case of a change of time or location.
