Manchester FOE nature campaign – Great British Bird Count at Fletcher Moss park

event on
27 January
2019

The Big Garden Birdwatch is the world’s largest garden wildlife survey.  With over half a million people now regularly taking part, coupled with almost 40 years worth of data, Big Garden Birdwatch allows the RSPB to monitor trends and helps us understand how birds are doing.

As the format of the survey has stayed the same, the scientific data can be compared year-on-year, making your results very valuable to our scientists. With results from so many gardens, we are able to create a ‘snapshot’ of bird numbers across the UK.   For more information on the Greater British Bird Count see the Birdwatch website

As part of this years, BirdWatch, Manchester Friends of the Earth nature campaign members will be visiting Fletcher Moss park to help with the Greater British Bird Count.
