Mayoral Elections 2024 – How to organise a hustings (Friends of the Earth)

Join our free workshop to plan exciting and engaging hustings for candidates in the run up to Mayoral elections on Thursday 2 May.

On Thursday 2 May, nearly half of England’s adult population will be able to vote in Mayoral elections across the country.

The elected candidate will have significant powers and resources to tackle the challenges of climate change, nature loss and social justice. From transport and housing to green skills and jobs, they will play a crucial part in ensuring sustainable communities.

Over the next couple of months, Local Action Groups around the country will be challenging the Mayoral candidates to explain what they will do to meet these challenges.

Election hustings are a great opportunity to publicly scrutinise candidates and secure commitments to ambitious actions.

This webinar will explain what hustings are, why they are important and what you need to do to ensure your hustings are effective and engaging.

Register your (free) place via Eventbrite.
