Nuclear Power: Its impact on women’s lives (hosted by Nuclear Power: Its impact on women’s lives by Greater Manchester & District CND)

Nuclear power is harmful to all living things, but it has a disproportionately more damaging impact on women and children.

Learn why women must get heard, stand up and fight back to protect all our most vulnerable populations and end the use of nuclear power.

Speakers:

Linda Pentz Gunter, founder of Beyond Nuclear (USA), will discuss how women the world over are taking the lead to challenge nuclear dangers.

Linda Walker, founder of Chernobyl Children’s Project (UK), will describe the social and medical aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster and the pioneering work of women to uncover the truth.

Meeting introduced by Rae Street, Greater Manchester & District CND

Followed by questions and discussion. Light refreshments will be served.
