One struggle, one fight, Ende Gelände hambi bleibt (hosted by University of Manchester Students’ Union)
Ende gelande is a civil disobedience movement aimed at highlighting and directly preventing the use of lignite or brown coal as a fuel source. As you will find out during the talk, they use a variety of tactics and masses of people to enter the open cast mine and prevent work from happening.
The second half of the talk will be focused on the hambacher forest, an occupation of almost eight years of the remaining ten percent of the ancient woodlands that have been decimated by the open pit coal mine.
