OT Community Goes Wild! Help Bring Buzz and Flutter to Stretford Road

Spring is finally here and the Stretford Road site is starting to take shape. You may have noticed some of the spring bulbs coming up. A knee-high rail and raised beds have been installed which has stopped match day parking!

We are very lucky to have received free nature friendly native hedge from TCV ‘I Dig Trees’. Please come along and help if you can or have a chat about the project.

Below is a flyer with the upcoming planting dates. There are lots of opportunities to get involved as we bring Buzz and Flutter to Stretford Road!

This project is funded by the Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund, accessed through the Greater Manchester Environment Fund.  The £2.6m fund supports projects that increase the amount and quality of accessible nature-rich green space, particularly in areas of greatest need.

The Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund, announced by the Mayor of Greater Manchester as part of the Greater Manchester Strategy, offers small and large grants to communities to improve local green spaces or create new ones where they are needed.

Greater Manchester’s green spaces are vital to those living and working in the city-region. They are particularly important to our mental and physical health, providing us with places to walk, exercise, meet friends, relax, or simply connect with nature.
