Pruning and Woodland Management Day Course (Ash Wood)

oin us on Saturday 18.01.20 at Ash Wood, Wythenshawe for a day course in tree pruning and woodland management

City of Trees funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for ‘Woodland Futures’ is restoring the heritage of historic woodlands in Wythenshawe.

As part of the project, Ash Wood is being re-managed to celebrate and benefit the local community and the amazing wildlife that lives in the heart of Wythenshawe.

As part of this we are running a day course in tree pruning and woodland management, looking at the safe use of hand tools (bowsaws, pruning saws, loppers) and techniques for pruning (& potentially felling small trees).  We will also run through how to plant and look after a planted tree.

The session will run from 10.00AM – 3.00PM at Ash Wood, Wythenshawe on Saturday 18.01.20.

All tools and gloves will be provided as well as light refreshments. Please bring your own lunch and dress prepared for bad weather (waterproofs / sturdy footwear).

Due to the nature of this event we can only accept people who have booked onto it. If you would like to book onto this FREE event please get in contact with Will on email at will@cityoftrees.org.uk or telephone on 0161 872 1660.
