Reimagining Chorlton: A Vision for Liveable Streets

Councillor Eve Holt and Claire Stocks of Our Streets, Chorlton will host this open meeting. Students on the Master of Landscape Architecture course at MMU will present a summary of projects they undertook over the summer in collaboration with practitioners and local groups.

These looked at Nicolas Road and Beech Road as case studies to test ideas for making our streets safer for cycling and walking, as well as a range of other suggestions, such as sustainable drainage, tree planting, public art and social spaces.

The aim is for the students’ work to generate discussion around these subjects to inform a vision for the future of our community.
