Ride to Reddish Vale Country Park (#RideWithUsGM)

Ride 4 in a series of 6, exploring the local area on two wheels. Leaving the Tameside Cycle Circuit will follow the Ashton canal towards Manchester before following the Trans Pennine Trail to Debdale Park and onto Reddish Vale Country Park. After a coffee stop we will retrace our route back to the Tameside Circuit.

A real mixture of traffic free, minor and major roads that will allow us the opportunity to discuss different commuting and riding options.

Suitable for mountain bikes, hybrids, cyclo cross bikes, touring bikes that are in a road worthy condition. Not suitable for lightweight, skinny-tyre road bikes.
The ride will be led by British Cycling qualified Ride Leaders. This is an excellent ride for those new to cycling who want to learn more about using traffic free routes for commuting.

Approx 16 miles at a speed of 8-10mph. No one will be left behind.
Bring an inner tube that fits your bike, drink, snacks and money for coffee.

Places are limited so please book online.

#RideWithUsGM

Together with a number of our partners and volunteer groups, we are bringing you a variety of events and rides throughout February and March aimed at empowering more women to saddle up and make more journeys by bike throughout Greater Manchester.

Pick a cycle squad to join on a commuter journey into Manchester or a social ride on the often scenic off-road routes.

Skill up with cycle training or a maintenance course.

Or let us persuade you to give cycling a go with women who have been there, done that at our social events.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is listed in our cycling events calendar for Greater Manchester. It is not organised by Manchester Friends of the Earth nor the Love Your Bike campaign and does not necessarily reflect their policies. We recommend checking with the organisers in case of a change of time or location.
