• Terms of Reference

The group has recently been discussing possibilities for a Joint Walking and Cycling Forum, in line with changes in other Greater Manchester (GM) Districts and the role of the GM Walking and Cycling Commissioner. Draft Terms of Reference (ToR) for such a Forum are attached for review at this month’s meeting

• Mayoral Challenge Fund (MCF)

Updates on Stockport’s bids on the various Tranches to date will be reviewed. In particular, the group’s views relating to the Tranche 1 scheme: ‘Town Centre Severance Package (Phase 1 – Welkin Road)’ will be sought for potential inclusion in scheme development

• Healthy Streets Indicators (HSIs) http://content.tfl.gov.uk/healthy-streets-for-london.pdf

In order to ensure that future MCF schemes best provide for as many members of the community as possible, the Council is trialling use of HSIs developed in London. Various aspects are available, including a toolkit for designers. A general introduction to HSIs will be provided to the group for consideration
