Stop EACOP – From Uganda to Tanzania – through the lens of Stuart Spray

Join Stuart Spray, film maker and environmental journalist, and the Greater Manchester Stop EACOP campaigners for an evening against the East African Crude Oil Pipeline.

You will hear from Stuart’s recent trip to Uganda and Tanzania on the pipeline’s planned route. He met and interviewed 18 people on the frontline of the project, many already having been displaced. Stuart aims to amplify the voices of the people of East Africa who are being directly impacted.

This will take the shape of showing photographs, listening to interviews and watching clips of films as well as in discussion with Stuart.

We will also discuss the next steps of the Stop EACOP campaign in Greater Manchester.

Book your (free) place via Action Network.

French oil giant Total and the China National Offshore Oil Corporation are on the cusp of building a massive crude oil pipeline right through the heart of Africa – displacing communities, endangering wildlife and tipping the world closer to full-blown climate catastrophe.

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline needs to be stopped and we have a plan to do exactly that.
