Cancelled: Summer Solstice Ride (hosted by Sustainable Living in the Heatons)

It is the longest day of the year so we are going to put that sunlight to good use and get peddling!

Setting off from the Nursery Inn we’ll be heading down to the River Mersey looking out for a range of wildlife from Otters to Herons doing a big circular loop before heading back to the start point. The distance will be a maximum of 5 miles.

The route is largely off road on well surfaced tracks.

The small print: numbers are limited, so to book your places or for queries about the rides email cycling@slheatons.org. Just let us know how many adults and children will be coming and on which trips. Bring a roadworthy bike and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Looking forward to seeing you!

And don’t forget that on the last Friday of each month, there are morning rides into Manchester leaving Heaton Chapel train station at 7:45 am. These Bike Friday rides are organised by FoE rather than SLH.
