Switched On – How to Budget
Learn how to budget for your energy bills, prioritise and understand the importance of budgeting to save money on your bills
Citizens Advice ‘Switched on’ Project is funded by the Energy Saving Trust’s Energy Redress scheme and will provide energy workshops and 1-2-1 sessions for young people (16-25 yr olds) in order to help them adopt sustainable living and energy efficiency, as well as the support to improve their quality of everyday life.
The Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from one of our Young People’s energy ambassadors and learn the skills they need to budget and manage their energy accounts;
– Find a purpose which give you a reason to budget.
– Learn how to prioritise and understand the importance of bills.
– Gain a better understanding of budgeting awareness when you are energy efficient.
– Know what skills you gain when you budget and plan for the future.
The one hour workshop will be followed by a 15 minute Q&A session with one of our young people’s energy ambassadors who lead the project.
To participate, you must pre-register by 2pm on 15th April 2021. All registered participants will receive an email with instructions on how to connect to our virtual event on Google Meet. Please have Google Chrome downloaded before joining the event otherwise you will not be able to partake in the session until you have. Live closed captioning will be available.
If you cannot attend the event but are interested in the session you can book onto one of our future workshops. We will be hosting the events throughout 2021 – follow our twitter and instagram pages for new updates ad keep this event page saved if you think you would like advice at a later date.
