Why is the Amazon burning? (hosted by Manchester Greenpeace)
The Amazon rainforest is burning! Join Manchester Greenpeace for an evening of films and discussion where we look at the reasons for the destruction of the earth’s air conditioning system, and the connection between what happens 5000 miles away in Brazil and the Fast Food we eat in the UK.
We will also be joined by a guest speaker from Bolton Mountain Rescue, a volunteer organisation that worked alongside the emergency services to tackle the moorland fires that tore across the Pennines last summer.
The venue is close to Oxford Road train station and the event is free, so places are expected to book up quickly. If you have registered but can no longer attend please cancel so that others can take your place should there be a waiting list.
Come and join us for what is sure to be a fun and informative evening.
