Wigan – Famous Sights Of Wigan – 12 Mile Bike Ride (Guided Ride)

This Guided Ride is from Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles who are now utilising the letsride platform to deliver part of their ride program with BC trained ride leaders.

In line with current government guidelines we will be running this ride in groups of no more than six (two leaders to four participants).

Lovely scenic route that is mainly off road or on quiet country lanes. You will pass some of Wigan’s famous landmarks which starts with the famous DW Stadium – home to Wigan Rugby League Club and Wigan Athletic Football Club. You then move on to pass Wigan Pier made famous by George Orwell / and George Formby. Next you will go uphill passing one of Britain’s largest set of locks – 21 of them in total. You will head into the grounds of Haigh Hall a large Country Park and Hall, left to the residents of Wigan by Lord Crawford for the enjoyment of all.

Places are limited so please book online
