Friends of the Earth reacts to National Trust’s woodland expansion plans

news release

Responding to the National Trust’s plans for woodland creation, Guy Shrubsole, tree campaigner at Friends of the Earth, said:

“Growing billions of trees across the country, at the same time as cutting emissions, is one of the key solutions to the climate crisis. The National Trust’s plans for tree planting are hugely exciting and we hope that more large landowners will step up to create and maintain woodland across their estates.”
