Grow Wild - Flowers to the people

All you need to do is register for seed kits on behalf of your group – how about your hobby clubs, neighbours, community project, youth group or workplace. Anywhere people get together can grow wild with us.

Just tell us how many people there are in your group/s, and we’ll post the right number of seed kits in late March 2016 – just in time for sowing.

Registration closes at midnight on 14 February 2016.

Each kit has seed to transform up to 10 square metres, so please share these packets to transform any space – from balconies to old boots, street verges and town squares to boxes and buckets. Anything that will hold soil, water and seeds will do: just let your imagination grow wild.

You will also find a Kew Gardens growing guide and our popular DIY solitary bee house.

What’s more, the flowers keep coming every year! The ‘annual’ flowers put on a show in the first summer and then flower again on new plants the following year. While the ‘perennial’ flowers in the mix will burst into flower in their second summer – and carry on beyond, too.

Everyone benefits from enjoying some healthy outdoor activity, learning new skills and showing how it’s possible to make a real difference where they live.

After the fun of sowing the seeds, there’s the huge intrigue of seeing plants grow and flower through summer.

In 2015, our kits found their way to charities bringing together families, young people, student community wardens, homeless people, resident associations, wildlife groups, and many more.
